2014 / Overseas / Groundwork

The Mammoth Vibro Tamper (MVT) method developed by Fudo Tetra was used for surface compaction in runway extension work at this operational international airport. The MVT method is recognized as a safe method with a lower level of vibration than the ?? weight drop compaction method. With modifications, we were able to meet difficult demands to eliminate the voids in the calcareous ground. Using 4 rigs night and day, the job was completed within the schedule.
