Core Business Fields
Fudo Tetra is the top company of the soil improvement technologies, such as strengthening the weak soil at the seaside and improving the polluted soil and the polluted underground water soil. We share about 50% of the market for the soil improvement technology by sand-piles. We've executed 340 thousand km sand compaction piles so far. It ranks with the distance of 8.5 rounds of earth. At the HANSHIN-AWAJI Earthquake, the soil we improved is less affected by liquefaction, and so our soil improvement technology was highly valued. So far, we have a lot of experience in the soil improvement, such as Tokyo Water-Front Sub-Center, Tokyo International Airport, Kansai International Airport and so on. Using the soil improvement technologies, we're also developing an overseas market, mainly Southeast Asia. We're developing business always sought new technologies of the construction of airports, roads, railroads, electrical and gas facilities, tunnels, bridges, dams and the technology of the polluted soil in civil engineering.

Tokyo Water-Front Sub-Center
Tokyo Water-Front Sub-Center, which is located center of Tokyo Bay, is built on reclamation land measuring approximately 448 hectare area. There was prevented by the various type of soil stabilization technologies. Sand Drain Method was applied for prevention of subsidence, and Compozer and SAVE-Compozer Methods were applied for resistance of liquefaction on main facilities. CMC Method was applied for stabilization of earth-retaining wall and excavation for common duct and for resistance of liquefaction.

Kansai International Airport
Kansai International Airport, which opened in September 1994, is built on a giant artificial island measuring approximately 4,370 meter length, 1,250 meter width and 511 hectare gross area. Fudo Construction participated in this project from the initial design stages through the completion of the island's construction. For the offshore work, we used the Compozer (Sand Compaction Pile) and Sand Drain Methods to create revetments containing an astonishing 178.3million cubic-meter of reclaimed soil. To prepare the completed site for construction, we used the Compozer and Mammoth Vibro-Tamper Methods to meet the stringent requirements for a variety of Airport Facilities, including Terminal Building, Apron, Control Tower, and Guidance Road.
For the Phase II, revetment work, now to be extending for airport, we also applied Sand Drain Method actively.
